About Your Trainer
Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m 40 years old and have been a devoted pet owner my entire life, but my professional journey began nearly 10 years ago when I opened my daycare and boarding business. Since then, I’ve worked hands-on with hundreds of dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and personalities.
Through years of daily experience in daycare and boarding, I saw firsthand how enrichment, structure, and clear communication shape behavior. Wanting to deepen my knowledge and better serve my clients, I trained under a certified professional mentor for three months, refining my skills in behavior, learning theory, and positive reinforcement training methods.
Like many dog owners, I once followed traditional training advice — including using an e-collar through a franchise program with one of my own dogs. That experience, combined with further education and mentorship, ultimately led me to a different path. I now train exclusively through positive reinforcement because I’ve seen the long-term confidence, trust, and clarity it builds in dogs.
Outside of client work, I actively train and compete in scent work with one of my own dogs. I love the challenge, precision, and partnership it requires — and it constantly pushes me to grow as a trainer and handler.
I believe training should strengthen the bond between you and your dog — not create fear or confusion. My approach focuses on building calm, confident dogs through structure, enrichment, and clear communication.
Every dog I work with is treated like family — with patience, respect, and a thoughtful approach that supports lasting, reliable behavior.
